What
a grand occasion. I am so glad I was there to capture such a loving and
exciting day for this bride-to-be. Ashley and all her friends and family were
just darling to photograph. There were even some bridal shower crashers. What a wonderful event. Ashley is going to make a stunning bride. Good luck and best wishes! Enjoy every moment!!!

Spring is HERE!!!
That's
right folks, spring is here! Let's give a warm welcome to our beautiful spring!
It is so nice to see our surroundings unfold with lovely and lively colors. I had
to capture spring in all its glory before it is all washed away by summer.
Spring just magically appears one day and then poof just like that it vanishes!
The elusive spring captures... Enjoy!!!

The Albany, NY Tulip Fest
Phew! It has been awhile and for that I apologize. I know
you all need your Captivate by Erica fix! There is a lot going on. Very
exciting stuff! Wedding planning is coming to a close with just a few odds and ends
left. I cannot wait for all the hard work and planning to finally come
into fruition! I don’t mean to toot my own horn, but it is going to be the
party of the millennium! :)
So, let’s dig right in! My amazingly awesome helpful and
super-duper handy fiancé and I hit up the Albany, NY Tulip Fest last weekend.
We met some great artists and we got to visit with my fiancé’s little sister
and bf. The trip was a great success, the crowd really responded well to my
photography and if the art didn’t impress them, they were really awed by the study handcrafted display structures my fiancé put together just for the occasion.
Hopefully, the next stop on Captivate by Erica’s summer tour is the Owego, NY Strawberry
Fest, Saturday June 21st and then the Binghamton, NY Spiedie Fest, Friday,
Saturday, and Sunday August 1st-3rd. Stay tuned!!!
Here are some of the crowd pleasers:

Back Blogging...
Wedding planning and
preparing for the Tulip Fest is keeping me pretty busy. Here is a back blog
from a few weeks ago when I visited my friends who work at the State Office
Building. They needed a fresh employee picture, a picture of their work place,
and a picture that represent the City of Binghamton. Erica and her Rebel to the
rescue! Besides taking pictures of my lovely friends, an additional perk, was visiting
the observation room and seeing a new view of Binghamton, NY. What a delight…
P.S.- I am still
impatiently waiting for spring to arrive!!!

SURPRISE!!!
I had the pleasure of attending my friend Alysia’s father’s
60th birthday SURPRISE party! What a playful and fun loving crowd. Young
and old, everyone enjoyed themselves. Alysia supplied the awesome photo props; they made for a great time and great photography! Happy birthday Harry!!!
A few sparklers for your enjoyment…
What an absolutely smashing party!!!

Think Spring!
Due to the never ending
winter in upstate New York, I have grown tired my white, brown, and blue
outdoors. So, I took to my cozy inside world to create my own colorful imagery.
I got out the old watercolors and completed this vibrant 'Orange Sun' painting. Painting your
photography is a great way to experience your art differently and
give it new life.
My camera and I agree that spring can’t come fast enough. We are waiting for our world to come alive with vibrant colored flowers and the chirping of birds, so we can take pictures like these...
